Henann Tawala Resort, Bohol

I was introduced to Henann by my Filipino family and we stayed in Henann Boracay before we came here in Tawala. Well Henann positioned themselves as luxury 5 stars but there’s a few basic amenities that makes me rethink if i will stay with Henann again, probably not. Shower If I know I am staying in a higher end hotel I usually pack light on my toiletries as I assume proper shower gel, shampoo, in-room slipper, and bathrobe will be provided. But none of the above are provided in this 5 star hotel. They only provide a small soap and a very low quality shampoo and conditioner. First world problems i guess 🤣 Water They only provide 2 small bottles a day. I have to try very hard to request for additional bottles in this hotel group. I ended up just head out to the nearer 7-11 to get my own water. Staff and service This is one of the areas we like most about Henann, the people. All the staff we encountered are very well-trained and friendly, thumbs up to all the crews 👍 Pool We do enjoy the pool but won’t recommend getting the direct pool access room as the pool is open to all hotel guests, so you’ll see stranger swimming right through your front door. Food The hotel breakfast is okay but I’ll rate it as below average for a luxury hotel standard. The selection is very limited and it gets extremely crowded. Only black coffee and tea is provided, no latte or cappuccino etc

This resort is definitely not 5 star standard and is the most stingy resort I've ever seen. It is definitely not worth the extremely high price I paid for. No shower gel is given. But instead they give you a small piece of soap as if we are still at Stone Age. No comb is given as well. Shower water is cold. Bath robe is kid's size. Jacuzzi water is ICE cold. The jacuzzi is not always working and cannot be turned on by yourself. You need to ask the staff to turn it on for you and it is only on for a few minutes. No outside food is allowed to be brought into the hotel. If you did, they will charge you 380 pesos. What is this? Prison? For the wifi, each room can only connect one device. If other devices log in then the other one will be logged out. You need to explicitly ask the staff to change for you. There are also mosquitos in the room. There are two resorts here. One is too far away from the beach and the other is too far away from the entrance and NO shuttle bus or other kinds of transportation is provided. There are many other resorts in Bohol. Please choose wisely.

Our third time staying at Henann Tawala this year and the staff never disappoint. The hotel facilities and location are great so that you could enjoy the resort life and could get out and immerse into the culture and sight see if you choose to. Huge gratitude to the restaurant staff starting with Mr Daryl Jee, Jorge, Princess, Aida, and Earl. They are fabulous, always anticipate our needs and make us feel valuable.

Rules, rules and lots of forms to sign checking in and out. Give it a break! Swimming pool doesn't open until 9am? Gym closed from noon to 4pm due to covid cleaning? Who makes this stuff up? 5 star? Breakfast and (required dinner) underwhelming. The 2 henann resorts say they care about your stay, but clearly, they care only about their rules & policies to protect themselves. And if u don't like it, don't come back.

Room is nice, however the check in is very slow and then talk you to come at 3:00pm. When you come at 3:00 the room is still not Available. We come with the group. They ask you to stay in my friends other room to wait. Every one is tired no one want to pay this high price and stay Crowded. All they can to is give you the late check out for one room. 1. We come and leave as a group. One room late check out meaning nothing to us. 2. The room which we can not enter is because the previous guess late check out. He late check is not our fault right? We can just Chang to other room.
